Mr. Francis Akwasi Owusu Boateng. Is a full-blooded Ghanaian with multiple family linkages in Ashanti, Eastern and Bono Ahafo so he loves to be addressed as a Ghanaian or Akan
He had his primary education in Agogo and Bantama Presbyterian Primary School, then Technology Secondary of KNUST Kumasi.
At the secondary school, he studied science additional mathematics and biology in fact from ordinary to advance level certificates.
He then enrolled in Wesley College in Kumasi one of the premier teacher training institutions in Ghana and qualified as a professional science educationist. He furthered to enrich his professional and academic capacity in science education at the University of Education Winneba and to KNUST School of Medical Sciences. Kumasi where he graduated with a quality grade point average as a Master of Science in Health Systems Planning and Management.
He is also a Sports Administrator and a Certified high-performance tennis Coach trained by experts of the International Tennis Federation, the World’s highest Tennis Governing Board.
He is a Christian worshiping with the Pentecost Church of Ghana, Kintampo Central Assembly.
By work history He has worked in the following capacities.
Sports and Recreational Support Consultant for the erstwhile Kumasi Brewery Limited, Health Service Administrator/ Lecturer with the Ministry of Health.
In this capacity He taught Chemistry, Research Methods and Health Systems Management at the diploma, degree and master’s level at the College of Health, Kintampo.
As part of his responsibilities/ offices in the college, formerly the Rural Health Training School was the following.
-Senior Hall Tutor
-Deputy Programme Head, Physician Assistant Programme
-Deputy Chairman, College Lands Committee
-Dean of Students Affairs
-Coordinator for International Seminar in partnership with Utah University (USA)
-Member of the Advisory Board and Secretary.
He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Living Springs International School and a farmer.
He had a good number of exposures in the western world that is the UK and the USA.
He went to the UK in 2003 as the only African participant of the Tennis Science and Technology Conference in Southampton University and then the Lead of MOH to Utah University,
Physician Assistant Programme.
he is the current General Secretary of the Ghana Athletics Association in the Bono East Region.
As past times he loves coaching/ counseling kids in sports: Tennis, Table Tennis, football, and other meaningful games.
He enjoys ecotourism to see nature. That is watching streams and animals in their habitats.
His current aspiration is to serve the people of the Kintampo North Constituency His home as the member of parliament with a distinction.
By this aspiration He intends to work on the following cardinal developmental agenda.
1. Health and Education
3. Youth Empowerment/Employment
5. Tourism and Arts for wealth creation
6. Sports and Entertainment for wealth.
Mr. Boateng hopes to achieve all these by partnering with the traditional authorities, the youth and utilizing community resource and human capital to improve the living standards of the people of Greater Kintampo comprising the :
